LESS IS MORE

Design by Jacob Plejdrup, 2012

After a period with focus on large and grand plank tables like the TREE TABLE, dk3 decided to extend the range with a thinner and more petite version of the classic plank table. Designer Jacob Plejdrup was motivated by the idea of making a table ideal for small space living, giving people with limited space the possibility to include a plank table in the interior decoration. And so, the LESS IS MORE TABLE was introduced in 2012 as the first thin plank table on the Scandinavian market.

The creation of the table is based on the original design principles from the other dk3 plank tables, with solid wooden planks mounted on a steel base. The difference from the other plank tables lies in the size of the tabletop and the frame. The LESS IS MORE TABLE has been made with an absolute minimum of materials, with a tabletop being only 19 mm thick and still being able to extend with 2 extension leaves. The minimalistic combination of the thin solid tabletop and the simple steel frame makes the table stand out, yet fitting into almost any kind of interior design.
